Pride in STEM Day @ Ontario Science Centre

The Ontario Science Centre is hosting a special event on November 18, Pride in STEM Day. This event is dedicated to celebrating the contributions of the 2SLGBTQI+ community to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

The event is free of charge and does not require Science Centre admission. However, it’s important to note that parking is not included and access to the exhibit halls is not part of the event.

The day is packed with activities and workshops facilitated by scientists, researchers, and artists. Participants can enjoy storytime with Toronto’s own Fay and Fluffy, observe experiments and demonstrations led by scientists from the 2SLGBTQI+ community, and engage in craft activities like making a colourful kaleidoscope or a pinwheel hat. There’s also a family photo booth for capturing fun memories.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering a variety of family-friendly activities, presentations, and demonstrations. It’s a great opportunity to learn, interact, and appreciate the diverse contributions to the STEM fields.

Please note that attendees are required to enter through the front entrance at 770 Don Mills Road to access the event.
